Person-centered therapy is about putting you at the center of our work together. It’s a friendly, supportive approach where I focus on understanding you and what you’re going through. You’ll find a safe space where you can be yourself and explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. My role is to listen, accept you as you are, and help you find your own path to growth and healing.
To book a session, you can contact me via phone, email, or through our website's contact form. I will then arrange to book you in for a free 20 minute consultation.
Counselling can help with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief & bereavement, relationship problems, and addiction. As a person-centred counsellor, I look to work with you as a whole individual rather than just zoning in on one presenting issue. My approach will be tailored to your unique needs.
Outdoor therapy involves conducting counselling sessions in natural settings, such as parks or trails. It combines traditional therapy with the calming effects of nature, promoting overall well-being.
Yes, I can offer online counselling for those who prefer remote sessions. This flexible option allows you to receive support from the comfort of your home. I can currently only work online with people who have a permanent UK address.
Each 'one hour' session typically lasts 50-55 minutes. This gives me time to prepare for your session and write some quick notes after our appointment.
Yes, your privacy is very important to me! All information shared during sessions is kept confidential, except in cases where disclosure is required by law, or to prevent harm to yourself or others.
I have a Diploma in Counselling specialising in person-centred therapy and other contemporary humanistic counselling styles. I have had training in loss, grief, and bereavement therapy; addiction counselling; ASIST suicide intervention; and outdoor counselling. My own lived experience with mental health challenges and recovery also influences my practice.
Counselling can be beneficial if you're facing challenges that feel overwhelming or if you want to understand yourself better. An initial consultation can help determine if you think I'd be a good fit for your needs.
My standard fees are £50 per 50-55 minute session. I believe in making counselling as accessible as possible, so if you're unemployed, low waged, or otherwise experiencing hardship I may be able to offer a reduced rate.
There's no preparation needed. Just come as your authentic self, and with an open mind. Sessions will be led by you with some help from me along the way.
